Le Creuset has been synonymous with exceptional quality, versatility, and style since 1925.
The enamelled cast iron Doufeu was originally introduced in France in 1934, inspiring a more thoughtful, flavourful approach to cooking.
Designed specifically for slow cooking, to create delicious dishes full of rich flavour and complex tastes, the Doufeu features a recessed lid that holds ice or cold water, creating steam and condensation to form inside and fall back on the food.
This works to retain moisture, vitamins, and nutrients within the dish, self-basting and intensifying flavours, and means there is no need to add further liquid during cooking.
Perfect for stews, casseroles, roasts, and more, the Doufeu is extremely versatile. It can be used on the hob and in the oven, requiring only a low heat to maintain optimum cooking temperature.
It can also be simply used as a conventional casserole dish.
The Le Creuset Doufeu measures 32cm wide and has a capacity of 6.9L, making it ideal for family meals and entertaining.
It comes in a choice of classic Le Creuset colours, and has a lifetime guarantee.
