Q: I am unable to connect Easy Capture to my VCR / camcorder / DVD player – what can I do?
A: When you buy a VCR, camcorder or DVD player you are usually supplied with an ‘RGB lead'. This lead has three connectors (yellow, white & red) at each end, or alternatively it may have these connectors at one end and a Scart jack at the other end. If you no longer have the RGB lead which is required to connect your Easy Capture to your existing VCR, camcorder or DVD player, you can order these for just £4.95 each.

Neat, compact product. Easy to use, even for me. The quality of copying done so far (1tape) is not brilliant. Perhaps that's because I've not had a tape player for years. Yet to transfer to disc.

As of this moment, even after following the instructions the product does not seem to work. So my next move I suppose is to call the helpline(at great expense I'd expect).

I purchased this item thinking it was the answer I have been looking for for somewhile but it is of no use to me what so ever as the only TV I have that plays videos does not have the necessary connections to attach this item to and I am now still looking for the solution of transfereing my family videos to CDs

Was wary of buying this because of mixed reviews, but it's doing a fine job so far. Had to buy a few extra cables and adaptors, which virtually doubled the price, but when we eventually got it up and running it was fine. Colour and sound are both good, but haven't attempted any editing yet. The instructions were fairly clear, but it definitely doesn't like Windows 7, preferring Windows Vista. We are now having many happy hours reliving the past!

It did what it was required for but would recommend that for further adverts it should explain that a further cable could be required.

Software AV issue

I was not happy about the software installation for this device. The instructions asked for the anti-virus (AV) software to be disabled before loading; I deliberately ignored this and loaded the software without problem. When I use the software I sometimes get warning messagages from the AV system.
That said, it did the small job that I needed and I now have old home video on DVD.

It really works ! I have transferred 8mm camcorder tapes successfully and burnt then on to DVD. It's really easy to set up and use, haven't mastered the editing process yet though

Very easy and simple to use. A must have piece of kit for anyone with the old vcr tapes they want to put on to disc. Very reasonable price too.

the part advertised was supposed to fit between a pc and video player this is not possible with out having to buy an extra cable and a scart adapter, this I now have to do before I can start to down load my videos, I'm not at all pleased

I found it allowed me to transfer details of an AV tape to my PC and then transfer the video to DVD with relative ease.
I have about another 24 similar tapes that I wish to move onto DVD. This will keep me busy during the winter.
The pictures on the DVD seemed better than the original video.
The very low cost of the equipment is excellent
